EGLX

As Canada’s Largest Video Game Expo, the Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo (EGLX) has rapidly grown from a few thousand visitors and competitors in 2015 to over 30,000 attendees at the FAll 2019 show. Held in downtown Toronto, EGLX brings together casual and fan-favourite professional gamers, 200+ exhibitors and sponsors; including leaders in the gaming industry, Ubisoft, Nintendo, XBOX, NVIDIA, AMD, as well as service providers like Bell, for three days of non-stop excitement and fun. For those that could not attend, over 5.2 million viewed the action of the expo online.

The expo hosts the country’s most prestigious esports tournaments, like Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Canada Nationals, Canada Cup, as well as qualifiers for the international esports championship tournament WESG.

This year the expo premiered the Rising Stars tournament and gaming entertainment series. Rising Stars seeks to discover unknown gaming talent within the esports industry and documenting their personal and professional journeys as they train and compete; rising within the industry to rockstar status. The tournament boasted over 600 players with 30k in prizing as well as sponsorship by Luminosity Gaming for three of the winners to fly to tournaments across North America.

In addition to the world class tournaments, attendees can explore the showfloor and browse and shop at Artist Alley, meet well-known gaming and cosplay influencers and try new content in the Indie Corner where independent game developers show off their latest offerings.
